The Extensive Zoom Guide: All Tariffs And Functions Explained

Zoom Guide: In times of Corona, Zoom is experiencing a real upswing. The tool enables enterprise video conferencing, real-time messaging, and content sharing. We will introduce you to the essential functions in more detail. To slow down the extremely rapid spread of the coronavirus, most companies are currently moving their employees to the home office. This exceptional situation poses significant challenges for many companies and internal communication.

For example, there is an excellent tool for real-time messaging with Slack. And since almost everyone now has their smartphone, a phone call is usually always possible. The situation is more difficult for companies that rely on conferences with several employees. But there is a solution for this too – and it’s called Zoom.

Zoom is currently being criticised for its data protection. We have written a small guide for all companies using the software or using it.

Zoom Guide: The Real-Time Video Conferencing Tool

Zoom is a video conferencing, real-time messaging, and content-sharing tool for businesses. It is available for Mac, Windows, and mobile for iOS and Android users. The software comes from a US provider from California but is also available. You can register for free and use a free basic version. With this, you can host meetings with up to 100 participants who do not need to have a Zoom licence themselves.

You can also have a meeting of up to 40 minutes with three or more participants. The number of sessions themselves is unlimited, and there is no time limit for one-to-one conversations. If that’s not enough, you can find out more about three different paid versions with additional functions.

Zoom Basic: Record Meetings And Watch Them Later

However, the free basic version already has a great option: you can record your meeting with a local MP4 or M4A recording – i.e., a container format for MPEG-4 content. For example, if an employee is unavailable in real-time, he can watch the conference later.

Zoom Pro For Small Teams

If, on the other hand, you lead a small team and depend on long meetings, the Pro version should be of interest to you. It costs 13.99 euros per month for an active moderator and allows you to host up to 100 participants.

The time limit for conferences here is 24 hours. You are also able to create usage reports. These show you, for example, how many meetings take place in your company on which days with how many participants.

The Zoom Business Model For Enterprises

If you run a small or medium-sized company, the choice of business model makes sense. It is available for €18.99 per month per active moderator. With the business version, you can invite up to 300 participants to a meeting. You also get telephone support if you ever need help.

And other features make it easier to use. With the Business plan, you also get access to a Zoom dashboard where account administrators can store general usage data and live meeting data. You can then use this data to analyze and optimize held meetings. You can also upload video and voice recordings to your private cloud.

Zoom Enterprise For Corporations: With Help To Success

Large companies can rely on the Enterprise version of Zoom. It includes 500 participants and unlimited cloud storage. Suppose you want to communicate with even more people. In that case, you can also use an Enterprise Plus version with up to 1,000 participants.

Whichever model you choose: In both cases, you can also get advice from your manager to guarantee your company’s success. This variant offers you even more help for the management: You are entitled to detailed trend analyses for recording, tracking the return on investment, and discussions about the product roadmap.
